The Marlborough Hunt Club has an active event calendar throughout the year. Both riding and social members alike are treated to an extensive array of activities and parties. There is the popular Roedown Hunt Races, where thousands gather on the hillside for “a day in the country”, enjoying sumptuous tailgates and exciting steeplechase action. And, of course, the traditional Opening & Closing Hunt Breakfasts held at the MHC Clubhouse, serving a delicious buffet menu, with lovely seasonal decorations and special recognition awarded to selected Members and Staff for their contributions throughout the year.
There is also the MHC Hunt Ball, which is a highlight of the year. A black tie formal affair with live music, dancing and silent auction , it makes for a perfect time to socialize with other members, friends, and landowners while at the same time supporting the club. Also festive occasions, the Junior Hunt Ball, the 4th of July, Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day parties each enjoy a good turnout of riding and social members of all ages ready to celebrate the season and catch up with one another.
From picnics, cookouts, and tailgates, to crab feasts and skeet shoots at the Clubhouse Pavillion, the Marlborough Hunt Club will find almost any excuse to have a party. With a large, active riding and social membership, MHC has a warm and friendly atmosphere, made up of a diverse group of people all sharing the love of hounds, the passion for the hunt and the ability to have a good time given most any occasion.
